You will have to log in as an administrator. Launch registry editor by typing &#8220;regedit.exe&#8221;.  Browse to &#8220;<code>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\CVirtA<\/code>&#8220;.  In the <code>DisplayName<\/code> key, you will see something like <code>@oem8.inf,%CVirtA_Desc%;Cisco Systems VPN Adapter<\/code>. Edit that to just say <code>Cisco Systems VPN Adapter<\/code>.  Try to connect again by launching the VPN Client.
